At Wunderlich America, we’re passionate about the BMW community. And though the holidays are nearly upon us, that doesn’t have to mean the end of the ride. All across the country, local and national BMW motorcycle clubs have some awesome events lined up to close out the 2016 season. Whether it’s the last ride of the year or just having a few beers with like-minded people, there are plenty of options out there.

Remember, while many clubs welcome non-members, some events may be for members only. When in doubt, contact club officers directly for more information.

NOTE: Information may change without warning. Below, we present the most up-to-date information as of October, 2016. Please do your own research if you plan on attending any of these events.

Editor’s note: An earlier version of this article included The Last Ride of the Year as well as an event with the NEO BMW Riders. As of November 3, 2016, the Last Ride website has become unreachable and we’ve received word that the NEO BMW Riders event is canceled. We have removed these events from our list. We apologize for any inconvenience.

39. 2017 Pacific Northwest Four Corners Tour

Come experience the very best of the Pacific Northwest motorcycling events this summer!

We’re pleased to announce the very first Pacific Northwest Four Corners Tour, where we’ve linked this summer’s rallies of the BMW Riders of Oregon, the Washington State BMW Riders, Bavarian Mountain West Riders of Idaho, and the BeeCee Beemers of British Columbia.

Those riders who attend all four rallies will receive awards and recognition from the Clubs and the MOA, but the best reward will be the fantastic riding opportunities and fabulous scenery of this beautiful corner of our two countries.

Pick up your Tour packet at the Chief Joseph Rally, June 22-25 in John Day, Oregon.  Experience the unique geology, scenery, and roads of Central and Eastern Oregon.  Then, the week after the MOA National Rally in Salt Lake City Utah, ride north to Republic, Washington for the Cascade Country Rendezvous 20-23 July in Republic, Washington.  Next, join us in beautiful and remote Grandjean, Idaho in the heart of the Sawtooth Mountains for the Stanley Stomp, 10-13 August.  For the grand finale, journey north to fabulous British Columbia (bring your passport!) for the BeeCee Beemers annual rally in Nakusp, near the heart of the Canada’s Columbia Mountains, 17-20 August.

All four events feature excellent paved road touring and a plethora of unpaved GS adventuring.

Certificates and other prizes will be awarded for attending two, three, and all four rallies.

Details and additional information will be available on each club’s web sites after the New Year.  Or contact Dan Muir, President Washington State BMW Riders at president@wsbmwr.org.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the “Oldest and Lowest of all Airhead Rendezvous,” and, as in the previous 24 years, we will brave the unpredictable weather of February to gather at the Furnace Creek Campground in Death Valley National Park on President’s Day weekend.

The Furnace Creek Ranch is nearby with a well-stocked general store, restaurants, saloon, Olympic sized spring fed pool, showers, museum, gas station, & motel rooms. The Death Valley Nat’l Park visitor’s center is also a short walk from the campground. Whether you decide to explore the park or leave your ride parked for the day, we know you’ll have a good time. There are miles of dirt roads to explore and the paved ones take you to all the highlights the park has to offer.

The event is steeped in tradition, and last year we counted over 130 motorcycles with attendees from as far away as New Jersey! We all enjoyed the perfect 80 degree weather in the shady trees with friends old and new. We hope to see YOU there!

Here is what you get: 3 nights of National Park camping, an array of fine craft beverages kept icy cold. We won’t run out. 3 premium meals by Pixton/Kempton Moto Catering including Saturday Breakfast, Saturday Dinner, Saturday evening champagne toast, Sunday Brunch, Friday dinner & Saturday lunch may be available a la carte at a nominal charge.  Healthy Snacks – Cases of fresh fruit / crunchy munchies, & complimentary toothbrushes & toothpaste. NEW for this year: Early bird arrivals are okay!! We have reserved a few select sites on Thursday night as well, so if you’re a day ahead of the official start time, we’ll have a place for you to set up camp without the hassle of dealing with the rangers, reservations, etc.  We will ask for a donation to cover the cost of the extra night.  Registration is still done the old fashioned way:  You will mail a check once we’ve set the price:  John Covington – Central California Airmarshal – 714-309-8077, 1707 Victoria Drive, Fullerton CA 92631 or jwcov@yahoo.com
