Xtreme Skid Plate

The K1200 R is an “Extreme” and fun machine that’s as much at home on the race track as in the mountains. The great handling comes partly because of the low center of gravity, which was partially achieved by sacrificing some ground clearance. Even initial tests with these bikes instantly showed that the cooler, header pipes and engine are at great risk of serious damage from normal road hazards. This extremely strong engine guard made by Wunderlich uses six mounting points and protects the whole underside of the motor. It is unbelievable how many hits it absorbed during testing, especially the exhaust header pipe was saved from grave damage. Wunderlich designer Bart van den Bogaard contributed the design. With this one-piece engine guard, the worlds most powerful “Naked Bike” not only gets the best possible protection but also a very distinctive, "hooligan" like appearance. The Xtreme guard’s masculine “look” and protection bridges the gap to dual purpose bikes, and anyone who ever wants to ride this bike to its full potential on whatever type of road is well advised to fit this part. Sold complete with all needed mounting hardware.
