Luggage Top Bag

One of our very own ideas: additional bags for mounting on the panniers. A secure place for additional luggage - tried and tested in hefty spills!. When extended they provide very comfortable armrests for the pillion passenger. For more than 10 years we had been strapping Ortlieb bags, which offer very good arm support, onto our panniers. The flat topped, BMW panniers for the R1200 GS, both R1150 and R1200 GS Adventure, F800 GS/F650 GS Twin and F700 GS have made it possible for this idea to be turned into a viable and useful product.

The facts:

• Expandable to a volume of 10 -15 liters by means of perimeter zipper.
• Extremely strong (tensile strength of over 100 kg/~ 200 lb.) serrated hook and loop fastener. The loop strip is self-adhesive and only needs to be attached once to the pannier (it’s black, so you hardly notice it).
• Additional strap with Fastlock locking device runs round the panniers (the indentations on the underside keep it securely in place).
• Possible to open and close the panniers even with the top bag in place.
• Ergonomically shaped for pillion passenger’s thighs.
• Can only be extended to the side so as not affect the passenger’s comfort.
• Shaped, sturdy outer walls for optimum protection of the contents and an exclusive look.
• Blue waterproof lining makes it easy to see inside the bag so that things can’t disappear into the stitching.
• Waterproof zippers.
• Waterproof fabric. Tough, hard-wearing and not subject to bleaching.
• Clingy, non-slip bag underside: protects the pannier from chafing (sticks like clingfilm).
• Lightweight.

Dimensions: 18" x 10 " x 5" compressed. A zipper around 3 sides allows the bag to be expanded and then one side expands to 9" and tapers down to 5"

Probably the most pleasant and practical add-on to the cases. Designed to fit the Original BMW expandable cases, they also fit quite nicely on the GOBI And Trax cases.

Please Note: Although the materials used in the construction of this product are waterproof, it is possible for water to penetrate the seams in prolonged exposure. It is always advisable to protect your valuables by placing them in a sealed enclosure.
