Very convenient

It's well made, it's easy to install and to use. It's very convenient. It's only negative is that it is small, but the description and pictures clearly show its size and so that is not a surprise. I can fit a wallet, smart phone, garage door opener, and a pair of gloves.
I recommend it, I was looking for something easy and convenient to use and something that did not take away from the appearance of the bike. It does these things very well.
Perfect Bag for Short Trips

I just purchased this bag for my S1000XR and so far am very pleased with it. It is great for day trips especially since the OEM BMW bag (which I also have) is rather large and is very bulky when you must remove it to fuel up. This tank bag simply snaps off easily and just as quickly can be reattached after fueling or removing it to take your valuables with you if you make a stop for a meal. The quality as you might expect from Wunderlich is very good. The bag isn't very large but will carry everything you might need for a day trip, with ease. If you're going on a multi day ride...get a larger bag or use a tail bag in conjunction with this Sport Bag, which is what I do. I keep tools, tire repair, etc., in the tail bag and my wallet, phone, camera, sunglasses, hat, ear plugs and small items in this tank bag for which it is perfect. Yep, it's expensive but really is the only game in town for quality and ease of use on the XR.
Well-Made, Small, Finnicky, and Worth It

This is an exceptionally well-made piece of motorcycle luggage. And at this price, it should be.
It is small, but despite that, it definitely has space for typical day-ride sundries (e.g., earplugs, phone charging cable, knife, wallet, pen, notepad, portable USB power pack, Garmin Navigator VI case).
It mounts using three special Wunderlich-provided screws that come with the bag. These replace three of the BMW fasteners that come on the bike. They are somewhat like the male part of a snap button. I've found that when the bag is zipped up, it is harder to attach all three of the female fasteners on the bag to the three male fasteners around the tank. With the bag unzipped, there is more flex, allowing for easy angles by which to attach the fasteners. All the same, you can do it with the bag zipped up and full, it just takes a little patience. Note that coming from a magnetic tank bag may lend a certain impatience to getting this bag on, but as it is extremely convenient, it's worth getting used to.
Also note that when the bag is mounted (and this may be the case with any Tankbag on this bike), when you crack the handlebars all the way to the left (normally when maneuvering the bike to park it and are moving the handlebars to their extremes, left and right), the horn button will make contact with the bag and you may inadvertently activate the horn.
As an investment goes, I think this piece is worth it. Aside from the BMW-manufactured tank bag for this bike, I'm not aware of too many that don't require some sort of apparatus attached to the tank, and Wunderlich's fastening system is rather innocuous and doesn't look non-stock at first glance.
Should be standard equipment of this this bike.

I just got this tank bag last week and I'm really impressed with the build quality and capacity despite its small size inside. I've done a video review you can see here https://youtu.be/l_hBFRqiRpo

Nice bag, well made. Could be a bit bigger. Also could use a rain cover.
