Waterproof USB Power Connector
The specially designed USB socket (max. 1000 mA) sets the input voltage from 12V to 5V (USB standard). The housing is weatherproof with IP54 type connector. The 1.2 m (4') cable with battery terminals and fuse allows flexible mounting on the handlebars, frame tubing or other convenient location. On both sides of the housing there is a groove for securely attaching the housing with included cable ties. The fuse holder is supplied separately so that it can be placed at any convenient location on the positive ( + ) lead for easy access.

I bought the USB Lead Kit just prior to a camping trip with my R1200GS Adventure. Since I was going to be primitive camping I needed a way to charge my phone and Sena without relying on the availability of electrical outlets. I mounted the unit to the frame on the right side under the back of the seat. I attached it to the short vertical frame tube just in front of the pannier mounting frame clamp. I placed it there because I was using a T-Bag on the pillion, so I could secure the device to be charged in a pocket on the bag and run the chord to the USB port. With two-up travel I could use a bag attached to the top of the right side pannier. The trip was three-plus days and over 900 miles and the system worked flawlessly. The install was simple and straightforward, although I did not use the provided fuse. We didn't run into any rain on the trip so I can't speak to the waterproof qualities of the unit but the cover fits tightly so I wouldn't think it would be an issue. Very happy with my purchase. Also, fast shipping was a bonus or I wouldn't have had the unit for the trip.

Yeah, this is a great part. Wire-tie it to your bars and run it into a fused outlet on your Centech or similar. So hand to be able to just keep the USB cord for a device in the tankbag and not have to fuss with cigarette-adapter chargers. I leave the phone plugged in and it's always 100%, could easily charge the Sena headset on the fly this way too. Notice that these are becoming standard in cars and even airplanes - this is the way of the future for charging stuff and it's even more convenient on a bike.

I found the kit to be excellent. The installation was easy and it works very well. I use the USB to connection to power my GPS as well as my cell phone. I would highly recommend the USB lead kit.

This is a pretty cool product. I ordered it after I had Planned to wire in a standard cigarette lighter plug and use a USB adapter. The only downside is it is only one USB plug (sometimes I need two). I would also like it better if it attached with something other than zip ties. Still, it is well worth the price and was very easy to install.

Nicely made heavy duty solid rubber. Inline fuse holder is junk, no one spades inline connectors, unless your lazy, they are trouble makers and damage wires permanently. just used the USB plug, threw the rest away.

It\'s a really useful item, very easy to install and very well built. On long trips, it is very useful to recharge your cell phone, GPS. Protection against water, is very reliable.
