The rear section of the front fender is not long enough to effectively keep road debris off the exhaust and front of the engine. The Wunderlich fender extender solves this problem effectively and elegantly. Made of tough ABS plastic, the extender attaches to the original fender utilizing the existing rear fender bracket, so no drilling of additional holes is required. The design is extremely robust and solid. The shape of the bottom edge is not just for looks; it ensures that water is diverted without creating further turbulence. This is a very effective addition for your X-Country.

This item fits the following BMW bike models:

  • G650X-Country

Just what the bike needed.

The Extenda Fender on my \'09 BMW X Country went on easily and now with about 750 miles of dirt and asphalt, is still securely in place. Good product and does the job.

Keep the mud of the engine

Reviewed by Braam van Heerden from Cape Town, (2.12.2012)

Why BMW decided to give the XCountry such a short front fender is not known but it leads to lots of mud/dust/etc being deposited on the motor when riding muddy/dusty dirt roads. Fitting is real easy, I am a bit concerned though with the recommendation to use the stock bolt to secure the extender, it seems a bit short, the bolt is not visible on the reverse side once secured, it would be nice to see the end of the bolt when everything is bolted together tell the brain not to worry about loosing it on the first ride. I undid the bolt and added some loctite before securing it for a second time as insurance that I will not be walking up and down some dusty road looking for it ;-)
