The oil filter and the water/oil heat exchanger are straight in the path of the dirt thrown up from the front wheel. The heat exchanger won’t suffer too much damage, but the oil filter housing is vulnerable. The protector consists of a strong and sturdy metal frame that holds the protecting grill in place. Stones and other projectiles are kept safely away from the vital components. Recommended for both the new model twins.
