It is very difficult to jump start a bike without having to remove lots of parts. There is always the danger of a short which can damage the electronics of the bike. The solution is the BikeStart system. Unlike the original socket (which would evaporate) BikeStart allows you to jumpstart your bike (or help someone else) without having to remove anything. Sold as a complete set containing the following parts:

• 65 cm length with 6 mm² diameter wire
• Plastic protector cap
• Up to 90 AMP load safe

Bikestart jump start & socket set |
| This set was a breeze to install on my Bike (R1200RT), The lenght of the socket set was almost perfect to attach it to the frame just above the passenger peg, I did have to use some cable ties to attach the excess cable to the frame. The jump cable fits inside my \"glove compartment\" on my bike. I haven\'t had the opportunity to use it yet, but it gives me a peace of mind, not having to worry about finding somebody with jumper cables or having a short circuit. I\'m very satisfied with this product |

| (+) Cables are capable yet light in weight and bulk. Perfect. (+) Socket and wiring are solid, good quality. (+) This socket will save me 15 minutes of hassle. Accessing my battery requires removal of engine bars (!!) (~) Length is just barely long enough to reach from battery to near OEM socket. (~) This wire needs abrasion protection. They should include some tape or tubing for that. (~) Would prefer a standard connector (SAE?) instead of special-purpose with adapters sold separately. Overall excellent product, very pleased. |
Perfect for the long distance biker |
| Perfect light weight and compact solution for the long distance biker. With the right accessories in a group you can completely eliminate the fiddly side of finding the battery on a bike for jump start on a cold morning or in the dark. Used it recently on a three week trip on KKH, China and Kyrgyzstan. Very practical and useful. |
