A beautiful and light weight designer part to replace the large and bulky original. The new K models are fast and “extreme” machines, the bulky looking and heavy original part does not fit very well with the overall design. Our part was designed to look and actually be lighter than the original, as well as to be as versatile and adaptable as possible. We have used the hole pattern of the original plate carrier, so in most cases no additional holes will need to be drilled (may differ in some countries due to different plate sizes). The carrier plate is hinged and adjustable so a suitable position can be chosen*. The carrier is made of laser cut and silver anodized aluminum. The original indicators as well as our LED indicators can be used. Treat yourself and your bike with this upgrade!
Note: In some countries the number plate needs to set at a specific angle, make sure to find out what the legal requirement for your country is when choosing the position.

The piece makes a huge visual difference and is well engineered. The instructions ,as most from Wunderlich, are lacking but the install is easily done in minimal time. I had one on my k1200s and just purchased another for my new K 1300s
Good high quality part. Instructions were somewhat lacking as other reviewers said. When I ran into an issue, called tech support, and got a call right back. Thumbs up to William at support. No mount for the plate light which was a big problem.
The kit is very good quality and engineered well. The instructions were a little lacking, though. The price is really inflated, just like anything for BMW.
This is a good kit. Comes with all the necessary hardware, but I reused mostly the stock bolts (so I don't have to carry extra tools). The instructional photos were a little hard to view, but otherwise it was a quick install. A final note is to find something to do with the plate lamp (plate illumination light). There is no mount for it on the new bracket, so I just tucked it into the tail void and zip-tied it to a wire to avoid damaging the bulb.
