Reinforced Hand Guards

These hand guards provide ultimate protection from the elements and were developed specially for the GS but experience has shown that these protectors also fit the R1150 R exceptionally well. The thick silver anodized aluminum bar reinforces the whole structure, and the CNC machined black anodized bracket provides a strong mounting point to the handlebars. The outer shells are made of black ABS plastic and can be painted if desired.

These handguards attach to the original bar end weight or our ThrottleLock and they are compatible with heated grips On the end weight side the Aluminum bar has a slot to allow the protectors to detach in case of an accident to prevent hands or fingers being trapped. It is also possible to use the Aluminum bars alone without the plastic pods (hot weather). They are easily taken off and then stored in a tank bag or other bag.

Sold as a complete set of left and right protectors and bars will all parts needed for fitting. It is also possible to purchase the aluminum bars by themselves as replacements. See the links under the Related Products tab.
