The original plastic plug is replaced by this good looking Wunderlich designed aluminum plug that hides a clever technical solution on the inside. The visible top part can be rotated fairly easily by 360° without moving the actual filler plug threads, therefore ensuring that the plug cannot be removed without the special key. The plug can only be removed when the key is inserted and all parts connected. The internal part is a one-piece unit, which ensures that oil cannot leak through the inside parts of the plug and prevents small metal parts from falling into the engine in case of a failure.

The oil filler plug is supplied with a key (to be attached to key ring or placed inside the tool kit),a new “O”-ring as well as a Boxer emblem. The Boxer emblem can be replaced by an original BMW emblem (Order directly from your dealer part # 71 60 9 056 263). Available in silver or blue anodized, and silver anodized “Carbon-Design”.

Don't scratch the cylinder head with the tool!

Reviewed by John Williamson from Toronto, Ontario (5.2.2012)

Nice piece of machining- Unfortunately when I inserted the tool I didn't notice that the edge of the tool is very sharp...As I rotated the oil fill cap with the tool it 'shaved' the raised lip around the hole....Ok, so I'm not very bright....I promptly put the tool on the grinder to file and soften the edges...
