Replace the plain black plastic cap in the center of your upper triple clamp with this beautiful thermometer from Wunderlich. This part is especially useful in cold weather because it can alert you when the temperature nears freezing. The thermometer is set in an attractive machined aluminum housing and simply presses into the center hole after removing the original plug. It is held in place with an o-ring and vented so it won't push out with temperature or elevation changes. The scale is in both Celsius and Fahrenheit.
This item fits the following BMW bike models:
- R1200GSADV
- R1200GS
- R1200RT

The location of the thermometer is not good because it is blocked by my tank bag. I did not realize the primary dial is in the Centergrade scale. My mistake for not paying attention. The quality is very good I would recomend this instrument.
Neat product, But wish it was in F.Degs instead of C. Degs!!!
Neat thermometer, although it would be nice if the larger numbers measured Fahrenheit instead of Celcius. If you want to determine F, you have to look closely at it. Otherwise, the fit/finish is perfect and its a neat accessory.
Bought this while my bike was away in winter storage. When I got my bike back I found that the mounting location for the thermometer is substantially obscured by the bracing bar on my 2006 model GSA. Not much use so will be returning it to Wunderlich. Thermometer looks good so I would recommend it if the mounting location works for your bike. Centrigrade scale works for Canadians!
Wunderlich should have already thought of this if...they were thinking about the customer. If it continues to predominately say "C"...then do you want to be paid in Euros? How difficult could this be to make the change???
These are beautiful but one problem--the degrees you can see are in Centigrade and the Fahrenhieit are just way too small. They need to reverse the scale for U.S. use.
