Longer Brake Line

Quality is A1. Unfortunately I was expecting an 80cm cable this is only 30cm. No hard feelings. I’ll keep the cable. This is not a negative review. I should have asked a question prior to purchase.

I wanted to add a 2" Rox handle bar extender after reviewing the options for raising/shortening the handlebars for my 09 BMW R1200R. According to the add, this item should handle the extension by replacing the original. With the item in hand, I compared the original setup. This item had a different angle at the caliper attachment - it was a down bend down of about 40 deg where it should have been a 20 deg off center line. Also, the ends were aluminum with a plastic collar in place of the original steel alloy with a steel collar; the appearance was not the same, and it might possibly be too short for a 2" reach. Returned it and ordered a custom line matching the existing line with a 0.4 longer length than the 16.1" that this item is. The custom line better fit and looks great. Just something to think about. But this item will work for most of the shorter risers/extenders of about 25 mm.

The original brake line on my R1200R is approximately 24" long. This brake line is 18" long and I have returned it.
