Xtreme Inner Fender

This rear wheel hugger provides excellent protection for the rear shock, exhaust system and the underside of the tail section.

This hugger will also effectively protect the legs of the passenger from water and airborne debris.

The support bracket beautifully made of pressure cast aluminum that attaches to the rear Paralever Strut bolt and one of the rear caliper bolts. Installation is easy and the needed hardware is of course included. The hugger is made of sturdy ABS plastic that's bolted to the support bracket. The appearance of the unit is striking.

Nice addition to your GS

If you want to keep spray and muck off your rear shock this is an excellent addition to your GS. Do note that it is a hugger--that is there is very little clearance between it and the tire. If you like to ride in mud or use a knobby tire, I doubt if this is for you. But if you are like me and use your GS as a touring bike it'll keep things nice and clean. It mounts easily but keep in mind you need to block up the rear wheel as the suspension strut is under tension when the bike is on the center stand. That is, the wheel will drop down once you unbolt the the strut on the paralever. It is easy to mount but do follow directions and use a torque wrench. I would have given this five stars but a bolt holding the fender to the aluminum frame vibrated out after a 1000 miles and had to be replaced. I would recommend using thread lock on the three bolts holding the fender to the alloy frame to prevent that. Other than that an excellent piece, one that works far better than the splash guards sold elsewhere.
