    Description

    Adjustable Gear Lever

A clever all-round alternative to the oversensitive, impractical and optically plain original. The gear shift lever can now be adjusted to all shoe sizes and riding habits, and changing gears on the GS becomes child's play thanks to the roller-mounted shift lever.

    The facts:

    • Foldable.
    • Simple, precise gear changing by means of a roller-mounted rubber-coated gear shift lever tip.
    • One-time setting of the shift travel: either original shift travel or shorter/longer shift travel for sport/offroad use.
    • Made of strong CNC-machined 7075 T6 aluminum.
    • Stepless length adjustment.
    • With strong safety wire. Prevents tree branches etc. from getting caught and tangled between gear lever and frame.
    • Wear-free stainless steel folding mechanism. Extra-strongly bolted.
    • Extremely lightweight construction.
    • Made in Germany.

Simple install, but adjust with kickstand throw in mind
    (Fair Oaks, CA) | August 3rd, 2023
I have more than one Wunderlich product on my motorcycle. All are well made, and come with simple to follow installation instructions. The factory kickstand on my GS was too short for my size 14 riding boot. I had to awkwardly bend my knee to get my toe under the lever to shift gears. This product with its significant adjust-ability with regard to length solves that problem. Be aware though, that it is adjustable to such a length that it will interfere with the side stand. So adjust accordingly. Another nice touch is the shift pad is a harder compound than stock and is mounted on bearings so it rolls as you move the shift lever, further reducing the stress on your ankle etc All in all, I would recommend this product to fellow riders with a similar issue to mine.

Life changing experience to ride now!

I have a size 16 foot, and wear size 15 Alpine-star tech 7s. I tried adjusting the factory shifter but that boot kept slipping, the bike was unshift able no matter what I tried. I got this shifter, and because its so adjustable, sticks out further - after are few hours of adjusting it, taking multiple short rides, I got the bike to a point that I shift as if I was wearing sneakers! This shifter is worth every penny because my bike is finally adjusted to me. It was expensive, but worth every penny and beautifully made, and I like it was made in Germany, not China.

    Always top quality

Like everything else I have ever purchased from Wunderlich the product is top quality, installation instructions are perfect. The shifter is exactly what I needed to get my feet under the shifter with my Adventure Boots (Klim). It does go without saying that nearly everything at Wunderlich is top notch, but they know it, and it is super expensive. Limiting it most likely to folks with the disposable income to afford it.

    2016 BMW R1200GSA in Penna

I had to run to the NAPA parts/tool store for a 60 torx male socket to remove a non-OEM adjustable gear lever that sells on Revzilla for in between 166 to 202 dollars. The tool cost me 10.27 dollars. I installed most of the new gear adjuster on the bench and was surprised how tight the busing that went on the plastic collar. I decided just to throw a light coat of Molykote DX and it slipped together better after doing this.I used the Molykote DX on all friction points after cleaning. The gear shifter has two very small bolts and nuts that are used to adjust the length of the gear lever and one of the nuts had fallen off while I was moving it from the bench to the bike. I was lucky to see it fall on my blanket that I had played underneath the area I was working on the bike. If It would have fallen off in the grass, I doubt if I would have found it. Make sure these bolts / nuts are secure. I did not have to adjust because the position that was set was fine for me. The quality of the parts are very good and the steel lanyard that attaches to the lever and frame is a good idea. The price at first seemed steep but knowing the quality of Wunderlich parts, I decided to buy. This was probably the 6th product that I have purchased from them. I just installed the brake lever 2 days prior and very happy with that. Keep up the good work Wunderlich!
    Customer Service above and beyond

I wrote the review below about a the shifter lever breaking in the middle of nowhere. Wunderlich responded and replaced the lever. A lifetime customer made by a company that stands behind its products.

The shorter Gear Lever is EXTREMELY Helpful
    | December 30th, 2016
I ride a BMW R1200GS and I have a left drop foot from back surgery. Always having a problem lifting up the gear shifter. NOW, I have a much easier time, as the gear lever is closer. Just wish the rubber had a little more of a grip for the boot, so I ended up putting a small strip of skateboard grip tape on my boot and that worked. Thanks for having kids :)

Hight made quality easy to install
    Great Part
    (Moraga, CA) | August 2nd, 2015
This is a great farkle! Like others, I found that the stock lever was too difficult to use with big riding boots. And I was afraid that is would simply snap off if it were impacted in a fall. I had a hard time deciding between this one and the SW Motech version.. I am happy I chose this part. You can definitely tell that a lot of thought was put into the design and engineering. It was easy to install and is infinitely adjustable. I can appreciate the value of the little steel cable as I had to remove a branch that got wedged between the stock lever and the frame when I installed it. Unlike other reviews, I do not consider the two length adjustment screws to be weak of inadequate. I imagine this piece could get pretty damaged if it took a direct hit in a fall, so I will carry the ole part as a replacement on any long journey I undertake.

    fits and works great
    Much more flexible!
    (Plano, TX) | December 24th, 2014
Bent the stock lever because it wasn't collapsable like this one. After adjusting for comfort, this one is a winner! Also, easy to install.
