Subframe Bag Set Black

These two practical frame bags made of perfectly crafted Cordura 1000 offer additional for everything you need to hand. They simultaneously close the opening on the right and left of the rear framework and complete the look of your GS so now it appears seamlessly integrated. A nice byproduct is that it protects the rider and passenger from spray. The attachment close to the center of gravity is particularly favorable for neutral riding behavior. Especially in off-road use. No restriction of freedom of mobility for the rider or passenger.

Handy!!!

I really like them. Not storing firearms in mine, just tools. If you put too much in them the bottom part swells up and rubs backs of my boots above my ankles. They’re well made and work as advertised. When you park at night it’s difficult to remove them. So far no one has taken them.

Wunderful(lich)!

Just completed my first multi-day adventure ride, think miles and miles of rough rocky roads, with my new subframe bags. Couldn’t be happier with the bags! They stayed firmly attached, we’re super easy to access while riding, and contents stayed dry during one moderate 15-20 minute thunderstorm. I ride a 1250 GSA so ‘added faring’ afforded by GSA help keep subframe bag contents dry. Highly recommend! They provide the handy easy access space for this n that items while riding!

2016 R1200GS

I wanted storage for small items, such as insurance, registration, IPhone charger.. when not riding with panniers. I had concerns given the price. Installation was easier if you remove the battery covers first. I am very happy with the product and highly recommend them.

Dont be lazy, they're great!

Ok, so it fits fine on my 2016 R1200GSA. All you have to do is uninstall the luggage rack mount and the rear passenger seat mount which uses the same bolts and once you have that off you can Velcro all mounting points. The only downside is that you don't need the rear brake reservoir guard since this will cover it up so don't waste your money on both (i found out the hard way). They are not water proof so i put everything in a big zip lock bags to ensure it stays dry. But they are very sleek and hold everything that were in my top case bags. i can slick up the bike and still have precious cargo space without any cases. The fit and finish seem solid and fits perfectly into the void and its low enough that i cant tell the extra weight when fully stuffed. Im a pack rat and this gets my excited when i change up my load outs. Great buy and almost a must have for the GSA

Not a good fit for a R1200GSL '14

The subframe bags are built well, however they don't fit for the reasons already stated by others on this page. So will be returning them. I like the idea of having bags under the seat, hopefully Wunderlich will read the comments and tweak the placement of the straps. The search continues.

good use of space, mounting was a pain , maybe a loop to put the Velcro straps thru , instead of being sewn to the bag .

Not for 2014

I specifically bought these for a 2014 R1200GSA. I spent quite a bit of time trying to put them on before deciding that they just don't fit. I saw them on an earlier model GS at the dealership and they fit that bike well. This looks like a good product, but not for the new series GS. I can't use them.

Under Seat Bags

I ended up returning the bags because they wouldn't work for my specific bike. The 2 issues I had with them was that my rear luggage mounts would not allow for the bags to mount properly at the rear. Maybe shortening the bags at the narrow end a bit would help. One of the velcro loops was also right where a frame tube intersection was. If the bags were filled up, they forced your feet wider on the pegs, which would be very noticeable while standing. If I weren't going to stand a lot on the bike, they would be a good way to get some extra storage.

Quality product

I just finished putting the bags on, and it isn't a quick on/off. That said, they provide the perfect place to put odds and ends that normally take up space in the panniers and are usually hard to find.

Nice Bags

These bags are nice if you don't use a tank bag. They're not waterproof so keep that in mind when buying them. Contents will stay dry in a light rain, but heavy rains or washing the bike will soak through them. The zipper pulls broke off after about a month and I replaced them with 550 cord. Overall I think they're a great set of bags and I plan to buy the matching crash bar bags.

Great bags!

I really like these on my 2010 GSA! I put tire irons and a hunting knife in one side and books, my MOA anonymous book, and other incidentals in the other. Great place for small stuff that tends to fill needed space in the panniers.

Left side is great!

It's a shame the bags are sold in pairs. The Left side fits great and is good for holding, in my case, insurance docs and small tools. As for the right side, on an 07 GS1200R the bag fits poorly due to preload adjuster and for that matter you cant get the front to fit due to brake lines. That said, i'm very happy with Left side and would have rated 5 if both would have fit or could have ordered just one.

Good extra storage

Got them in mail today.Fitted easily and look good. Just what I needed for tyre levers and for a couple screw drivers. Nice to see people looking to put thing out of the way but easy to get to.

Great Addition

I installed these bags on my R 1200 GS 2012 model, they are great, I keep sometimes small documents when I am touring on the bike in addition to a number of things I need when I am on the road. They look good on the bike, cover some of the body cavity, water proof, washed the bike after an off road trip with them on, it with a pressure water hose, they were perfect no leak and still look good. Good build and quality, a number of people and riders asked me about them. Highly recommended, yet they are a bit pricey IMO, but they definitely do the job.
