Great Solution for Carrying Camera
In April, I'll be joining Helge Pedersen's World Tour 2020 and we'll ride from Tokyo to Munich over a 72 day period. It was suggested that no one use top cases as many racks have failed and the luggage was lost. I needed a solution to carry my cameras, lenses, etc. I drove up to Hendersonville, NC and Doug was kind enough to work with me. He showed several options but the Elephant Top Case Bag was just what I needed. I had to modify it a bit to safely pad for carrying the equipment but it went smoothly. The bag is water resistant but, to make it really waterproof, the seams need to be sealed. I did that and left it on our patio for two days of rain and it didn't leak. Wunderlich uses waterproof zippers and the bag is expandable for more versatility. It fastens via heavy duty Velcro on the bottom and four Velcro straps secure it to my rack. I ordered some Wunderlich straps to secure it further for very rough roads. It's very well-made and I'm confident it will be up to the task.
