Supplement Engine Bars

The Original BMW engine protection bars for the R1200 GS and Adventure lack the most important thing: protection for the valve cover! We've seen many bikes go down in various situations over the years and for the most part the valve cover get damaged or destroyed because the Original BMW engine bar really only provides protection to hits from the front, not from the side.

Wunderlich has developed this easy to install, supplemental engine bar which provides the needed additional protection for the valve cover and also serves to strengthen the engine bar assembly. The lower strut of this part also provides protection for the lower spark plug, located in the bottom of the cylinder head.

The Wunderlich Engine bars have this feature built in but if your bike is equipped with the OEM bars, there's not much sense in replacing them when all you need is this simple upgrade. After all, the BMW bar is of outstanding quality, fit and finish. It just lacks this add-on.

The finish of the supplemental bar is silver powder coat. It does not match the finish of the Original Engine Bar however it looks great when installed.
