This is a fantastic tip that not everyone knows about: Talcum powder is quite possibly the best aid available for mounting a tire and especially if the tire has an inner tube. Sprinkle some talcum powder on the tire bead and rub it in a bit. Also sprinkle some on the tube and spread it around to coat the entire tube. The tube will slip inside the tire without resistance and as soon as air is pumped in, the tube will slip perfectly into position.
On all tires, tubeless or tube type, talcum powder is a very effective rubber lubricant that will make it much easier to mount the tire on the rim and the tire will seat better and sooner when inflated.
Talcum powder is easy to clean off with water and it will not leave your tires slippery like wet tire lubes, WD-40 etc. will.
