CamRack
The CamRack is a bracket that positions the camera in front of the windshield, keeping the camera free of vibrations and providing unshakeable hold and which sits as close to the center of gravity of the 'rider machine' grounding system - only by doing so can the fluctuations along the vehicle's transverse axis ('pitching' motions) be kept in check while riding. The CamRack meets these requirements perfectly. It attaches to the solid attachment points on the windshield, i.e. a sturdy pipe structure, that has been designed by BMW for absorbing the highest wind pressure forces. This means that the CamRack sits here free of vibrations with a firm hold. The CamRack is attached using the screws and plastic washers supplied in the set, thus avoiding any damage to the windshield.

Vibration free, super easy to mount, allows an external battery in my tank bag and a mic inside my helmet.
Downsides: awfully expensive for a small piece of aluminum. And I wish someone would invent a locking connector screw so that I could walk away from the bike for a few minutes without worrying about the camera being stolen.

I wanted to take the camera off my helmet particularly for the longer rides as it starts to both me. I felt I could always stop where needed and the recording from this location gives a much more authentic version of the ride and location.

I've tried several ways to mount a GoPro camera on the last 4 bikes and although they worked, they ALL looked like some kind of added on contraption and depending on how or where it was mounted, you usually got some type of movement in the resulting videos.
I ordered this piece when it became available and when it showed up it took all of 5 minutes to install.
Looks MUCH better than anything else I've used to mount a GoPro and it runs "steady" for the videos.
This also allows me to power the GoPro with my custom USB cord to the bike and it's all nicely tucked up behind the mount and screen.
I should have gotten one of these camera mounts a LONG time ago but I've got it now and am very happy with the results.
