These Wunderlich engine protection bars are a particularly well designed engine protection bar that reliably protects the cylinders and the entire machine from damage.

All six mounting points absorb the impact forces uniformly, resulting in the engine protection bar's ability to absorb the kinetic energy without damaging other components.

The engine protection bars form a homogeneous coherent unit together with cylinders and headers.

Adventure Style Tank Bars

This tank guard not only reliably protects the tank, but also the fairing, stem and high-end water cooler units. In conjunction with the engine guard, it forms a well-thought-out all-round protection concept for passive safety: In the event of a fall or accident, the forces are optimally distributed via the guard structure to the load-bearing pick-up points, thus avoiding force peaks. Visually, the protective bar integrates very well into the design of the motorcycle and underlines the striking appearance. The tank guard is made of a composite of 25 and 18 mm precision steel tube. They consist of pipe segments that are model-specifically formed on CNC tube bending machines and then welded clean.

Fits perfectly and very nice finishing

It fit perfectly on my 1200 GS! i got the blue one to match to the frame of 2018 rallye and the paint matched perfectly too. Easy to install (i've used the youtube video on wunderlich america page) and everything looks very good. I highly recommend.

Nice Bars

4/5 - The only thing that keeps me from rating these 5/5 is a lack of color choice: I'd have like to have had red bars to match my frame (I ended up having them powder coated, which added quite a bit to my cost). Otherwise, nicely engineered, nice packaging, instructions, etc. On an R1200RS you may need to remove the lower fairings if you have them - my bike came with lowers, and they did block installation.

fit 2017 r1200gs

this kit did not include the engine bar cross support. fitment should be a little bit different if you pre-installed the MachineartMoto X-Head.

Fits like a glove!

This engine bar fits the BMW R1200RS like a glove. Provides good protection with out being in the way. Easy to install.

Crash bars

Wow, great quality . My only problem was that my new R1200R has a fiberglass at the lower portion of my bike which kept me from installing these bars. If I were to remove the fairing the bars would be fine.
