The original crank case plug is plastic and it's nearly impossible to remove it without distorting it or leaving ugly marks. Therefore we offer a replacement plug that's machined of aluminum and anodized in three different variations to suit your style. Rather than just machine a simple plug, we created a shape that is attractive to look at and that is complementary to the rest of the bike.
Our plug accepts a 10 mm allen wrench, as opposed to the original plug that requires a 14mm wrench. Recognizing that the 14 mm wrench is beyond the scope of most DIY'ers tool kit, we supply a tool with these plugs that can be used to remove the original plug. The tool is 14mm on the outside and accepts the very common size of 8mm on the inside.
