The new generation of ERGO seats: Well-thought through at every step of the design, with many innovative solutions.

The shape and angle of the carefully crafted, progressively structured, dual-layer seat core support the ergonomically beneficial, natural posture of the back. Integrated, riding is a relaxing affair and thus also active. And there's no doubt that relaxed sitting adds a serious plus to passive safety. With the ThermoPro coating, the temperature of this seat in direct sun at the peak of summer is up to 25°C lower compared to standard, untreated cover materials. We also have a passenger seat in the range to go with this.

The same applies to all AKTIVKOMFORT seats: The "buckling" of the cushioning is reliably prevented via the sophisticated construction and the sitting pressure is equally distributed over a large area, resulting in noticeably lower specific pressure load to your behind. Also typically Wunderlich: The incorporated concave profile for relieving the pressure-sensitive coccyx is another outstanding trademark!

They offer perfect hold and active, reliable control during accelerated riding, also and especially when braking: who hasn't experienced it, when your passenger suddenly slides forward on braking and you immediately have to brace while simultaneously having to steer in what could be a hairy situation? With Wunderlich's very own support contour, these scary moments while braking are now a thing of the past. The innovative, ergonomic 3D contour also ensures that pressure points on the inner thighs while standing at the lights are now a distant memory.

    • A relaxed and active riding experience adds a definite plus to passive safety
    • Ergonomic 3D contour to support the natural posture of the back and comfortable leg position while riding and standing
    • Progressive two-layer construction with soft top layer and rigid core guarantees comfort because the seat doesn't buckle
    • The sitting pressure is equally distributed over a larger area, resulting in noticeably optimised weight distribution and lower specific pressure load
    • Distinct concave profile to relax the coccyx
    • More comfort with ThermoPro: With the ThermoPro coating, the temperature of this seat in direct sun at the peak of summer is up to 25°C lower compared to standard, untreated cover materials
    • Refined, dropped "Cut" seams
    • Embroidered Wunderlich logo

Individually-adjusted heights!  - Alongside the standard seat height (regular) we also offer a lower (low) version which anchors the rider firmly on the seat, giving the feeling of really sitting IN the bike.

Pure relaxation! - An ergonomic design precisely tailored to the riding position. As a rider, this also lets you have long-lasting touring pleasure. We were also able to sustainably improve the support (in particular while braking), which leads to significantly more relaxing touring enjoyment. The progressive foam core and the relief to the coccyx silence any complaints.

    R1250GS Adventure Low Seat
I had already replaced the original seats with new Air Hawk seats and found the original seat better. However, after an hour or so, I was still ready to get off the bike. When the Wunderlich low seat arrived and I installed it, it felt very hard and I was concerned. However, the more I rode, the better it felt. It has gotten to the point that this seat is far more comfortable to me than the Air Hawk or the original. There is clearly a break-in period for the seat. I can go two hours without discomfort, but three is still pushing it. I also like the fact that it is so much lower than the original or Air Hawk. Even though I am 6 feet, 2 inches, I have only a 31 inch inseam so I feel much more comfortable when stopping with this seat. It is still close enough in looks to the passenger Air Hawk that it goes with it OK. The only seat I have owned that I feel is more comfortable was the Russell Day-Long saddle. However, the Russell added even more height to an already tall bike.

    Better than stock but...
I have the standard size seat. It is much better than stock, but 200 miles on this is still no picnic. Trying an Airhawk starting today. I too wonder about placement of the seams, espcially that one around the rear. Should just not be there at all.

    8 hour rides
I have a 2015 R1200GS and have put 20k on with the ERGO seat also had a 2013 R1200GS and put 30K on it with the ERGO seat. I find in much better then the OEM seat and would recommend it to long day riders.

    Not good enough
I have a 2014 GSW and I got the standard height seat. The Ergo seat is better than the OEM seat and but still not that good for me. I am still looking for a better seat. The foam is extremely hard, has very little give, and the shape is not good enough to compensate for this. After about two hours on the saddle, the seam cut into my thighs. Speaking of seam, I feel the seam at the rear, near the passenger seat. And I feel the seam at my thighs. Not good. Why are there seams there? The OEM seat gave me a pain in my tailbone and the ERGO seats does not, as advertised. But still, it is not comfortable for longer than two hours.
