    Xtreme Garmin 660 Case, Silver

This well-conceived case has a firm grip on the "Zumo 660": The lockable case deters thieves and gives the device a secure hold. The integrated sun visor prevents reflections and thus ensures that the screen is always very easy to read.

The GPS device is positioned inside the robust housing that's made of made of high-strength ABS material. The soft, vibration-absorbing inner lining prevents dents and other damage.

Connection to the vehicle is carried out either by means of the original Garmin bracket system or our unique MultiPod holder. The MultiPod allows adjustment down to the last millimeter in any direction, and is also pre-configured as a versatile holder for cameras, etc.

The 3 mm-thick "ExtremeProtection" case is warp resistant and withstands even violent impact. Exchangeable barrel locks made by reputed manufacturers are used. Every system is supplied with two keys.

    The facts:

    • Very strong, solid attachment
    • Integrated sun shield to make the display easier to read.
    • Theft protection.
    • Can be used in combination with our MultiPod or the original Garmin holder.
    • 3 mm thick, fiber-reinforced ABS material.
    • Can be painted if desired
    • Replaceable barrel locks
    • Vibration-absorbing inner lining that protects the case.
    • Also works with the Becker Crocodile GPS.
    • Available in silver

Please Note:Works with Garmin Zumo 660/665

    Lock not good
For such a high price one would expect a more secure lock. Turning the key causes a small tab to rotate up under a very bendy flat arm with an equally small tab. It does not take much of an effort to force it open. Also, one would expect at that price to have a soft gasket around the edge of the "door" that closes onto the face of the GPS, keeping dirt and rain out.

No More "XM Antenna Not Found" and Security
I like my Garmin GPS, but I have never been able to get rid of the GPS momentarily and repeatedly becoming disconnected from the XM antenna, causing very annoying disruptions while listening to XM. As a final attempt at correcting this, I decided that this Wunderlich Xtreme Mount might eliminate this by holding the unit firmly against the Garmin mount with the added bonus of securing the Garmin under lock and key. It turned out that the Wunderlich mount, with some foam added on the face of the Garmin unit, solved this problem perfectly. I have not had a single XM antenna problem since. Note: If you overdue the foam, it will cause the Wunderlich unit to not lock properly. So, with this Wunderlich mount, I got my XM fix and I got a GPS that is locked in place. The only reason I rated this as four start rather than five was the price (ouch).

not compatible with integrated GPS mount on R1200RT
I purchased this unit to be mounted on my existing Integrated GPS Mount (part# 8600887-888)only to find when installed it sits too high and makes contact with the windscreen. Nice unit but not with this setup.
