Additional Fitting Kit

This fitting kit consists of spacers and longer bolts that will space the engine protection bars farther outward. There are two uses for this kit:

1. For the ultimate in protection for your engine, it's possible to install Both the Wunderlich engine protection bars and the Wunderlich valve cover guards. This fitting kit makes it possible by providing the needed clearance.

The hardware contained in this kit will effectively space the engine protection bars outward a small amount to add sufficient clearance for the valve cover guards to fit underneath the engine protection bars. Only one kit is needed.

2. When installing the Wunderlich Highway pegs on certain models, there is insufficient clearance for the clamp between the valve cover and engine protection bar. The fitting kit will allow the needed clearance for the successful installation.

I bought this kit to give clearance between the Wunderlich Engine Bars Part # 26442202 and the cylinder heads with Mamo cylinder covers on a 2019 R1250GS. They fit perfectly when you use the 19mm spacers and M10x65 bolt at the back that are provided with the fitting kit. Then use the 8.5mm spacers from the fitting kit at the lower front with the M10x50 bolts that came with the engine guards. The top is attached with M8 bolts with washers and locknuts that come with the engine guards. All this to say that the only parts you will not need from the fitting kit are the M8x30 bolts because they are too small to fit the lower front holes on the engine block. Yes this kit fits the R1250GS 2019-2022.

I ordered these as was suggested for clearance of my Highway Pegs between my Wunderlich Protection Bars and the valve covers. This kit was not needed for my R1200RT-LC. There was enough clearance without modification.
