Bike Fitment
Description
Ball Joint
The ball joint should be replaced if the boot gets torn or any high mileage bike. If you are installing the Wunderlich WRA Lower clamp on your R1200 GS or Adventure, then we also suggest that you install a new ball joint if your bike has more than 30,000 miles.
Original BMW part number: 31 42 7 652 644 ( 31427652644 )
IMPORTANT NOTE:
- The ball joint requires a new Collar Nut (3142996), which should never be re-used (see Related Products)
- Installation requires a 46mm deep socket and a torque wrench that can handle 230 NM (170 Ft/lb).

Please Note Model Fitment:
Fits both top and bottom fork clamps on the following models:
- R1200 ST
- R1200 S
- HP2 Sport
- Fits the bottom fork clamp only on all remaining models. (see Bike Fitment below)
