Our Wunderlich engine bars result from over three decades of experience in manufacturing them at a high standard, resulting in developing these stylish and practical engine protection bars that guarantee to deliver what they promise: safety, lightweight, durability, and low maintenance. The engine guard reliably protects the cylinders, valve covers, and the two oxygen sensors. The overall protective concept increases passive safety and the joy of riding. In the event of a fall or a fall-over, the forces acting are optimally distributed over the guard structure to the load-bearing pick-up points to avoid force peaks.
The engine bars are made of 25-millimeter precision steel tubing. The tubing segments are formed on CNC tube bending machines and then cleanly welded. Visually, the bars integrate into the motorcycle's design and emphasize its striking appearance. Our bars emphasize protective function and product design and exquisitely refine your BMW.
Our protective bars focus on protective function and product design. The stainless steel surface is glass bead blasted and additionally electro-polished.

Installed the Wunderlich engine protection bars on my 2019 R1250RT; the design, fit and build quality of these guards make them look like original equipment. I had been meaning to add something to provide fall over/crash protection and, although the Wunderlich bars are a more expensive option relative to some of the alternatives, I’m very satisfied with the outcome! The shape and positioning of the bars not only complement the RT’s lines and the boxer engine’s valve covers, but also provide a very secure mounting connection with the frame and engine. I’d gladly recommend to others!

These work PERFECTLY for the R1250RT! I ordered them after seeing "NothingToProve" video online and I'm so grateful... less than a month after putting them on I stopped on a sloped surface with loose gravel and my wife on back and the bike went over. Just like his video - and to my AMAZEMENT, there was not a single scratch anywhere on the bike. I could barely see a few scratches on the underside of the bars if I got down on the ground to inspect them from underneath. One of the best purchases I've ever made for any motorcycle over the last 30 years of riding.

Excellent product, sturdy & great looking. Perfect protection for the engine. Only downside is instructions. Torque specs may be inaccurate.
