Description
CSS Tank Pads
Specially designed to match the sharp contours and lines of the R1200 GS/LC, these tank pads are molded of high quality polyurethane in Germany by CSS. They attach with very strong adhesive yet can be removed, if desired, without damaging the painted surfaces of the motorcycle
This approximately 4mm thick pad set will help prevent scuffs and scratches to the paint while adding a unique styling enhancement. They also serve to provide a firm and comfortable grip for your knees when riding offroad.

Easy installation, greatly improves protection, looks OEM

I added this to my 2014 GS over the winder following the instructions, but now (spring) are starting to loose the adhesive grip and they start pilling off. I think I will need to replace it soon with something else.

These are definitely a 5-star item with regards to the amount of protection for the tank they provide. They install easily because the adhesive is only around the perimeter of the each pad. However, be aware that they add several millimeters to the width of the tank. They are also quite smooth, so if you were looking for better grip when squeezing the tank during hard braking, you might be disappointed.
