JMT Gel Battery 22 Ah Maintenance Free

ABS alternating braking light failure fixed by this battery. I have a 2000 K1200RS with approx. 44k miles (also have a much newer R1200GS). I’ve had the ABS unit rebuilt 4 times. After the 3rd failure, my BMW dealer (the largest West of the Mississippi) recommended to just put electrical tape of the lights and continue to drive like regular motorcycles for this ABS trait is widely present and recurring, they acknowledged. I keep my RS because it rides beautifully, like no other BMW, in my opinion, I have had BMW RS’s since 1993. On this last service, 9 months ago (Nov. 2025), after having a new battery installed as part of regular maintenance, I had the ABS unit rebuilt for the 4th time, the ABS worked correctly for 2 to 2 ½ weeks more or less. I am a busy person, so it took me some time to get to it but I decided to do some research on my own back in April 2026. Having a background in physics, though I am not a physicist (full disclosure here) I went into another field while in college, a field where physics courses were electives, I decided to research the matter on my own and after reading an enormous number of online “theories” on this matter, I decided that the problem most likely was that the ABS needed more cold cranking amps (CCA) and more initial power (AMPS) than provided by the std. batteries available. I chose this battery from Wunderlich because this battery provided the highest CCA and Ah I could find, had it installed and, my mechanic reset the ABS and . . . tah, tah, tah, – the ABS failure is FIXED!! . . . . 3 months and all is going well. I recommend this battery most highly !!! Suggestion – install this battery before you go changing/troubleshooting other components of the ABS system.
