Luggage Net for Vario Case Lid

The screws and anchors that are supposed to hold the net in the upper corners (the latch end of the cover) are not suitable for the pressure from the elastic netting. There are holes in which to start the screws that look threaded, but they're not, so the flat point screw needs to be forced in. It doesn't hold properly. Gorilla glue to the rescue. Coated the spacer and the screw and let it set overnight, then installed the net. So far so good. I keep gloves and rain covers under the net.

Installed the Wunderlich net in the Vario top case on my 2005 GS. Pretty neat addition to store things that need quick access like paperwork and a roll of paper towels. Only recommendation that keeps me from giving it 5x stars is that I wish the screws were tapered nose instead of square. The new screws are a larger diameter and need to go into an existing hole, but with the flat nose, it is difficult to align and get them started. Turned a 5 min install into 30. Great item and glad I have it now!!

Easy install , work wells, Top and side boxes very helpful in keeping your boxes in order for light items maps etc. Installing was easy except be aware the screws dont have a fine point as the ones your taking out. You'll need to pressure on the back side to make these screws tap back into the hole . Outherwise it pushes the outer plastic out and deforming your box.
