First, these racks look awesome ! I bought the chrome racks and it enhances the overall look. Second, for everday riding when I get off the bike I swing my leg over the seat and bag. As I have gotten older I just cant swing my leg as high and sometimes hit the bag causing a scuff (depending on footware). Now I hit the rack instead of the bag. Lastly, I play softball all over the Western States and love to ride my Bike to the touneys. I now have plenty of room for gear, including my bats, which I can strap along the top of the bags on my new racks. For me, a real travel game changer. Just beware they dont hold alot of weight so follow the weight limits and you should be ok.
