The left side throttle body has the throttle position sensor to help support the throttle shaft, whereas the right side does not. At some point, usually after about 40,000 miles (65,000 km), the throttle body starts to wear and the throttle shaft moves, making a tapping or ticking sound. This can be confused with the sound of loose valves or a stretched timing chain, but it is a loose throttle shaft.

The TickerKiller solves this issue by adding additional support to the shaft. The part simply replaces the metal cap on the right side throttle body and the adjustment screw centers on the shaft and provides a central pivot point instead of the perimeter of the shaft.
