    Description

    Vario Screen Saver

A strong and robust replacement for the original center screen mounts. Early models were equipped with plastic mounts and even though aluminum is used on later models, the originals just push in to the end of the tube and the fit is sloppy.

With this machined aluminum part, the screen is now connected securely to the bike's metal bracket which reduces the side to side movement of the screen. Additionally, a 20mm slot is provided, allowing you to adjust the gap between the screen and instruments. This can allow the flow of air to pass beneath the screen, equalizing the negative pressure and reducing turbulence and buffeting. The adjustment slots also increase the overall adjustment range of the screen.

The screen attachment is secured to the bike using expanding posts. The posts are inserted into the ends of the tube and tightening the internal stud causes the post to expand, securely anchoring the post to the motorcycle.

With this part, the overall stability of the screen is greatly enhanced compared to the loosely fitting original fittings. Made of machined aluminum. Supplied as a complete set to fit both original and aftermarket screens.

Please Note: There are two versions available, depending on the model year of your bike.

This version fits 2008 and later R1200 GS models . for R1200 GS models up to and including 2007, please follow the link under the Related Products.

Not a 5 minute install but worth it...
Installing this bugger was a bit of a pain, but once on the windshield is now sorted out. The black plastic pieces that come stock are fine, but clearly BMW has upgraded this part to metal on later models. My 05 needed these as the plastic was starting to get sun worn and it was a matter of time before things cracked. Nice work Wunderlich.

    Works well when installed but....
Although the installation seems easy I had hard time while trying to fit them right in place. After a couple attempts the 2 thing rubber rings broke down and I had to wrap a thin piece of duck tape to holding them in place. Working nice so far after the home-made fixing.

    Clean Air
Was looking for just that little bit of adjustment in my windscreen (Givi Airflow) to be able to tilt the screen back toward the cockpit and these did the trick. Combined with the BMW "wings" these and the Givi make for excellent chest and arm protection and clean air for the head. Very satisfied with these expensive little buggers. Well engineered, fit perfectly.
