The original fender is too short! This results in a dirty radiator, fairing and unnecessary airborne water and debris.

This exact fitting ABS plastic extension completes the original front fender and puts an end to all of that. A very discreet and efficient reshaping of the front fender. The fender extender features a clever support bracket that provides the support needed to handle the additional weight of the extender. Supplied complete with all hardware, screws and self adhesive foam strips for a solid and vibration-free attachment.

I'm happy to have the fender extender in place for the extra protection it provides. I had hoped that it might have been about an inch and a half longer. I just don't understand this trend for these abbreviated fenders these days. This is an item that I just had to have. I have my eye on some other Wunderlich products going forward.

I feel this accessory is a must to keep the dirt and crud out of the radiator. The K bike seems to run a bit hot so it's important to keep the radiator clean. The directions would be more clear if there were written instructions along with the pictures. Seems like a quality piece and includes the support bracket which is needed to keep the extender from contacting the tire. Don't let the price hold you back.

A must have accessory

BMW should have built the front fenders on a K1600 longer. This accessory extends the front fender to stop dirt and rocks from hitting the radiator. While it's not an easy install it's not real hard. Take your time and follow instructions.

Cons: it's pricey and the instructions and photos could be better. Thank goodness for online installation photos in BMW forum. Pros: Quality made, fit very well, well-designed support bracket, provides excellent coverage for radiator, blends right in after installation.

NOT IMPRESSED!! Poor fit and finish. This parts profile is a poor match for the K1600 fender. Also, I had to re-trim the bottom because it was done so poorly by the manufacturer. I have purchased Wunderlich products in the past and have been pleased with my purchases, not his time.

The fit is excellent and is fairly easy to install other than the L shaped bracket that attaches to the brake line mount point and the top of the fender...this was a little tricky upon reassembly. I used a dremel tool to shave the slightly protruding screws...even though they were quite clear of the tire. Instructions could have been a little more clear on the L shaped bracket. Great product though...Wunderlich is awesome!
