45 Tooth Rear Sprocket
This sprocket is a direct replacement for the original, except that it has 45 teeth instead of 47. Installing this sprocket will effectively reduce the number of engine revs needed to move you down the road at any given speed. You'll therefore experience less engine vibration and realize better fuel economy. Combining this 45 tooth rear sprocket with a 17 tooth front sprocket will provide yet a longer ratio. These sprockets are a high quality product, made of tough steel in the "Diamond-Cut" procedure.
Find your bike below to see what your bike was equipped with originally: (Number of teeth Front / Rear)
- F 650 / ST / GS / Dakar: 16/47
G 650 X Challenge: 15/47
G 650 X Country: 16/47
G 650 X Moto: 16/47
We also have 14,15,16 and 17 tooth front sprocket available. See Under the Related Products.

Receive high quality products from JT sprockets. I have and 09 G 650 GS and the top speed is electronically limited so you can't get around that but at 90 mph and anywhere above 60 the bike feels so much more composed. I put 90 because if you own one of these machines you know how hard the bike feels like it's working from that point on. I noticed no noticeable loss of speed on take off and every single gear feels better . If you consistently ride at speeds over 60 this with the 17 tooth front sprocket will make you fall back in love with you GS 650 again. It's really such a game changer . I ride with a backpack a lot she's around 120 pounds and we do light off road stuff and plenty of trips over to the coast and that fatigue from just the bike at 85&90 had me ready to get rid of the bike. Which I know I would've missed it even though I'm planning on just upsizing to the GS 800 model soon anyway. But just the overall capabilities of the 650 with the awesome fuel milage and just the almost perfect balance with the bike I haven't rode another adventure bike it that displacement that handles on and off road like this bike does and again I noticed no difference in performance. Now all that said I do not ride my bike loaded down with saddlebags or gear . I keep it light just my passenger backpack and a backpack on her with drinks and snacks or lunch whatever so a little over 400 pounds and the motorcycle is still very quick to 100 and no issues in sugar sand or small hills we have off road in Florida I couldn't tell you about mud or muck because my mainly pavement princess is well used I push the bike often and am way ahead of the maintenance curve and keep it clean well lubed and all fluids changed more often than the owners manual recommendations.

I ordered both the 45t and the 18t sprockets as recommended by Wunderlich. The quality is great, the fit was perfect, and the highway ride is now actually relaxing.
