Description
Frame Slider Kit
The creation of these frame sliders for the F800 ST required a very complex mounting system. The result is a set of protectors that are rock solidly attached to the frame and in such a way that the forces that would be exerted on them in the result of a fall, are distributed over a wide area, minimizing the chances of any damage to the bike.
These protectors were developed in racing activities and feature a wide surface area, designed to allow the bike to slide in the event of a fall, much preferred over a flip and tumble!
So that you can understand why this part costs what it does; we have provided an image of the kit contents below. What's not shown in that image, but is included with the kit, is a set of snap-on covers that can be added to enhance shock absorption.

Just low-sided the F800ST yesterday with the Wunderlich sliders installed. I did have panniers on when I went down. Shifter lever was all bent up, and the following things were scuffed:fork edge, mirror, blinker, the slider itself, lower edge of lower fairing, foot peg, side stand, center stand, and saddle bag. Handlebars/clutch lever was untouched. The bike slid on it's side for about 40 ft, doing about three 360's as it went down the road. I give 3 stars because of the outrageous price tag and it still scuffed up so many parts. But things probably would have been a lot worse with the sliders not installed.
