Lightweight, solid machined aluminum, without any complex mechanisms, it simply replaces the original. I just purchased a slightly used 2016 BMW S1000R, 8000 miles and the original filler plug leaked/dribbled some down the engine case. This new Wunderlich oil filler plug is all metal and top notch. No leaks , no dribbles and it's quite handsome on the bike. BTW: My old plastic plug's threads were starting to deteriorate around the last thread on the plug and one part of a plastic thread was hanging loose when I removed it to change them out!

Look better than the original plug. The make is good quality and no engine oil leaked on first ride after installing it.
