This is my 4th set of pannier top racks. I've installed them on an R1250RT and a 2 previously owned K1600GT's. The finishes have always been impeccable. High quality components and a perfect fit.

The racks are excellent quality &amp; come with all the necessary hardware to install. I had a defect in one of my paniers that made installation difficult but, in the end, it worked out. The black racks look great on my R1250 RT. Since they attach to the paniers, the racks do not interfere with detaching the bags, nice, however; very expensive at nearly $320 EACH for a total of over $600.00 for the pair!

I love the feel of these racks. Solid construction and perfect chrome finish. Watch the video at the bottom of the page for install directions. Sort your screws, washers, and spacers beforehand. You will replace all the screws that you remove. Make sure to use the spacers as directed.

Started install, stopped for translation

I bet these are great, once I get them on. Unfortunately Wunderlich America can't be bothered to pay some college kid a few bucks to translate the instructions (even the parts list would be good). I had to stop and undo a partial installation because I couldn't figure out where the spacers went and I didn't want to scratch the bags experimenting. I'll be doing a google translation on the instructions this weekend and get back to it. I expect these to be pretty nice looking and functional too. But come on Wunderlich, don't you think it's about time to admit that not all that many Americans can read German? Let's get some translated instructions on the website at least!!

Had mine for a year now and love them. I think they look great on my bike and give me option when traveling. Strap down a duffle bag or backpack no problem. I live on the California coast and play softball all over the Western US....and sometimes I ride. Bats and gear are so much easier to strap down with these racks and they stay secure. Alittle pricey but hey, we bought a BMW !

Great addition but not enough clearance

With a full-size large top-case on a R1250RT, you cannot easily install/remove the side cases from the bike without removing the top-case as the extra height of the rack eliminates the clearance needed to lift/raise the side cases off the mount. Not an issue when on tour but a bit of a pain at times.

Nicely engineered and great fitment. It would have been easier to have the full instructions in English. Once I figured out all the parts and hardware, it was pretty straight forward installation. Probably could have done it in an hour if the instructions were in English.
