Works as advertised. I needed the signal cancelling feature Real bad. All the other features were just a bonus. BMW R1100RT ABS

Love this thing. Works as advertised and installation is not difficult. Note: 1100-1150- GS the new relay is taller than the original. I cut out the two triangles in the bottom of the pocket and removed the top latch. New relay drops right in and a piece of stiff foam holds it in place nicely. The new running light configuration looks cool and creates much better visibility for safety.

Timer works great as I always forget to turn off the turn signal during daylight hours on my r1100 rs. Much more rear visibility with the flashing brake light. Quick flash lane changer is great too. Thought it was a little pricey, but now that i have it, I won't go without!

I love this little gadget. Never forget to turn off the signal again. I highly recommend connecting the brake circuit even though the unit works without it - the timeout alone is not really adequate because you end up having to keep too close an eye on it. I know that some people somehow dig the brake wire out of the bundle under the fuse box but thaI looked like quite a challenge so I used a vampire tap connection to the grey and yellow brake wire at the brake light. It's easy to run the new wire cleanly back to the fuse box. One other slight mod: I cut a very small notch in the plastic of the fuse box so that the wire does not get tweaked between the box and lie. One other piece of info: I did a test on the timer with brake applied - it will hold the countdown rather than reset it. 2004 R1150R

Marc shot me a note and let me know when it shipped. Was in my mailbox the next day. Fit right into the well where the original flasher was seated - no trimming, no cutting, no re-routing wires (97 R1100RT). And virtually no set-up. Worked perfectly the first power-up. Love the flasher options, and the running lights. Thanks for a great product.

I think this little gadget is great! It's nice to have running lights now, as well as self cancelling turn indicators. I also like the quick rapid flash setting for lane changes, it does get peoples attention. I was hesitant to order this because electrical attachments are not my strongpoints but this little unit plugged right in and was ready to go. It is SIMPLE to install. I highly recommend this item!

I bought the Signal Minder for my new to me 2004 BMW R1150RT because I wanted the signal cancelling feature and the running lights option. I like having as many lights on as possible when I ride, "see and be seen"! The only complaint I have on this unit is that there could be more timing options for signal cancelling, currently 8sec,30sec & 45sec. it would be nice to have a 15 sec option as this seems to be the time I would use. I currently have it set to 30sec. and love the feature, tap the turn button to cancel, no more finding the OEM cancel button! I am planning on hooking up the brake to the unit to see what the effect is on the signal timing. Love the 5 quick flashes of the turn signals if you hold the button when merging! Programing the unit couldn't be easier and installation was a snap! It took me longer to get the OEM flasher unhooked then it took me to hook up the Signal Minder! All in all, exactly what I was looking for and I HIGHLY recommend it. 1977 BMW R100RS & 2004 BMW R1150RT

Great product with plenty of features. I bought this to turn my turn signals into running lights more than for the signal minder feature. I ended up activating all of the features including wiring it into my brake light. This gives the option of flashing all four turn signals when you hit the brakes and keeping the turn signal on when holding the brakes (overrides the countdown timer). Flashing the front turn signals works great to get the attention of drivers at intersections or when they start to change lanes on you. Only issue is that the dash turn signal indicators stay on with the running lights - no problem for me since I have to look down to lower the helmet chin bar to see the indicators. A must have for city driving.

The indicator system is not the best, especially if you have been used to riding bikes with a more "conventional" system of turning the indicators on and off. The Signal Minder addresses the ergonomically poor BMW system. The unit is relatibely easy to fit, requiring the removal of the seats and the fusebox cover. The OEM flasher can needs to be unplugged, and the cable pulled through to the other side of the fusebox. I left the OEM can clipped into it's position, just in case it is required in the future. The Signal Minder clips straight into the existing loom. I was only intersted in the indicator functions, so I didn't bother with the brake light switch. The unit has some open electrical sockets, which I taped over to prevent dust and water ingress. Programming the unit takes all of 2 minutes, and is acheived by simply using the indicator switches. Presto! Now I only have to press the indicator button to turn it on, and press it again to turn it off. If I forget, it automatically turns of in 45 seconds (there is a choice between 8, 30 and 45 secons). I think this is a "must have" product for BMW's.

plug and play, easy setup, works great... I love the ability to turn the turn signals into marker / running lights.
