    Description

    Adjustable Brake Lever, Black

This adjustable brake lever is a vast improvement compared to the vulnerable, simple and impractical original. The lever can be adjusted for length, and together with the height adjustment allows any rider to find the best set up, whatever size boots are used. The brake lever comes with stainless steel spikes for added gripping power and a spring loaded pivot allows for the lever to pivot and not get caught on passing obstacles.

The pedal of this brake lever is smaller than the original, in true dirt bike style. Our brake enlargement will not fit this part.

    Details:

    • Machined from solid aluminum
    • Five adjustment length settings
    • 4cm of adjustment - max extension 19cm
    • Precision machined spikes allows for maximum grip with boots
    • Lightweight but strong construction
    • Spring loaded folding tip
    • Easy to fit
    • Anodized black

Please Note: We recommend applying Thread Lock on the fasteners after you have fitted and adjusted the lever to assure everything stays put.

    Not to small!
I purchased this brake pedal to replace the OEM version. First off, it has great fit and finish and compliments the bike! Secondly, I have not idea why people complain about the size of the pedal. it sits exactly where it is suppose too without getting in the way. The OEM pedal surface is so big that you can ride the brake by accident just by resting your foot in the flat position. This pedal is perfect. There is no angling in to hit the pedal. just push down like normal and you stop! I think its pretty unfair to purchase a more Offroad friendly brake pedal and expect the pedal to be the size of a car brake pedal! Its not suppose to be huge! In fact, I had the BMW aluminum brake pedal setup before this, and this is the same size if not bigger. When you compare it to the steel, OEM cheaper version, it is smaller, but in my opinion absolutely perfect size and by no means small. Sometimes when you change controls on a bike you have to learn the new accessory, put some miles on it and train yourself if it feels different. I think this is the best brake lever/pedal assembly for the R1250 GS or GSA.

    Not Wunderlich's best design
I needed an extended brake lever after lowering pegs on 16 R1200GSA with Ilium Works Big Gripper pegs. This Wunderlich adjustable brake lever accomplished the objective of a longer brake pedal. The pad is right where it should be (OEM is too short with Big Gripper pegs.) However, the contact pad is so small that I had to hunt for its surface area and to make contact requires a pigeon toe action. It is very awkward and difficult to get good rear brake contact which is obviously a safety concern. I contacted Wunderlich to see if there is a compatible brake lever enlarger, but received no response. I purchased 26220103 Brake Pad Enlarger and retrofitted it to the 26221002 Adjustable Brake Lever. This required unscrewing the metal "teeth" of the brake lever, acquiring a M6 X 35MM flat head cap screw and M6 nylon insert nut as well as drilling and countersinking a new hole through the Brake Lever Enlarger. I find it odd that the Brake Lever Enlarger is available for the OEM brake lever which Wunderlich deems "too small", yet their adjustable brake pad lever has a far smaller contact area with no easy way to enlarge. Just a poor design of the minimal contact area. Avoid if you can not machine the brake lever enlarger.

    Brake lever
Lever is well made but the pedal area where the foot presses is only 1/3 the size of stock
