I just put these on my bike. I was skeptical, I wasn't sure if the look would be right but they actually look really good on the bike, were easy to apply, and they protect the paint...worth it!

The fit and finish of these pads is great. They look great on my 2022 r1250rt. My only grip is that the adhesive is just not wanting to stick in a few places. The surfaces were properly cleaned prior to mounting (this isn't my first rodeo), but they still fail to hold properly.

This is the 3rd set I've purchased and installed. I keep buying them because they are a superior product. I find its important to protect as much of the BMS Tupperware as possible. These are cheap insurance against accidental damage. I've learned to use an Exacto type knife to remove the tape plastic and it works well.

This is my second set of CSS Tank Pads for the R1200RT. My original pair was purchased in 2014 with my RTW. They have done the job of providing grip and protection. I recently got a set of new painted panels for my RT so changed the color from Ebony to Red. I got another set of CSS Tank Pads for this new set of covers. I used the other set for almost 5 years and 34K miles. I am sure this new set will win me over again! Applies easy and forgiving for realignment if you change your mind when applying.

Surprisingly Nice Continuity with the Seat

I was shopping online for R1200RT tank grips and these were the only solution that I could find. While these lack an aggressive gripping texture, they do provide a reassuringly solid feel when gripping the tank with my legs. Without them, the body panels flex and creak to impart a cheap construction feel to an otherwise very expensive bike. As mentioned in the title, I was surprised to see how the seat profile visually flows into the tank pads. Another reviewer had wished for the lower pads to cover more of the side panel, which would affect these profile aesthetics. I also would prefer enlarged lower tank pads to match my leg's contact area with the bike. So far, though, I'm more or less satisfied with the product. As a side note after purchasing these, I happened to speak with a BMW parts dealer about trying to locate aggressive tank grips and he was able to source a major brand product for about the same price as these pads.

My K1600 was showing sings of scuffing from the tank bag and the knee area from my riding pants. This product was easy to install and is positioned correctly to avoid the scuffing on the new R1200RT.

These are a great addition to my 2014 R1200RTW, aside from protecting the tank and plastic areas, it adds extra grip where it is needed. Application was a breeze and the pad can be moved by simply peeling off and replacing. Glue seems to hold very well. Only suggestion would be that the lower pads cover the whole side panel instead of the upper corner, I may remove and add a larger pad cause that is where i tend to need it the most.

The side pieces look great and have stayed flat to the tank area. The center piece just won't stay glued to the tank. I cleaned it thoroughly with alcohol, but no luck. I got mad and ripped it off and threw it in the garbage. Not worth my time sending back just one piece.
