    Dual Headlight Conversion

For us, the R 1100 GS is simply the classic and to this day, it is still one of the best GS models ever built. The only problem is the weak headlight.

We are happy to announce that we have developed the third edition of our beloved dual headlight and this latest rendition is far superior in design and functionality than anything we have previously offered. This dual light set-up gives a clever transition from the square headlight cover to the deep-set round headlights. Aside from the improved aesthetics however, what really counts is the light output and in that department, we have hit a home run. With the low beam switched on, both lights shine with 55 watt bulbs. Depending on your preference and local legal requirements, you have a choice of how the high beam is wired: When the high beam is switched on, the H7 low beam can switch off or remain on. Download the installation instructions for more information about this.

    Facts:

    • Shaped transition to windscreen.
    • Headlights are set deep in the housing.
    • Extremely light (approx. 500 grams lighter than the original unit).
    • Thermoformed ABS plastic with aluminum anodized mounting frame.
    • Each light is individually adjustable up/down & left/right
    • Complete with bulbs and installation kit.
    • With fitting instructions and stainless steel fixing screws.
    • Made in Germany.

Perfect fit and easy install. About an hour to remove the old headlight and fully install the new one.
    Dual Headlight Dimensions
    | August 4th, 2018
Can anyone give me the dimensions? I may use on a different bike. Overall top to bottom of plate (not including top tab), overall width of plate, out edges of lamps - left to right and top to bottom.

Looks great gives the bike an up to date look. Also having the option to wire the lights so both are on in the highbeam phase is awesome. the dual lights throw alot of light down the road. I do mist of my riding in the national forest at night needed this so i don't die...thanks Wunderlich!

    Great product.

Great product. My only problem was that, I needed specialized help to do the wiring, and the package came missing one of the bulb rubber guards. It gives a modern look to the 1100. It's a least 60% brighter than original light. It's a must for the 1100.
    Nice product

I had to replace another dual headlight set up that the reflectors had melted in for the second time and that is no longer in production (imagine that). I was afraid that I would have to go back to a stock setup until I found the Wunderlich set up. I saw a couple sets in the real world & talked to the guys that had them and they all had good reports so I sent the order. The lights came in a short time & I installed them without any issues. The fit & quality are good & so far I\'m happy with the light they put out. The only thing that might make them better is if I could run the high beam on both sides. I do have them set up to run low beam on both sides and the light they put out is good. Thanks Wunderlich for continuing to make parts and accessories for my well traveled 1100GS!
    Works well

I purchased the dual headlight system for my 1998 R1100GS and have been pleased. It is definitely brighter than the stock unit, but if you're expecting a huge difference then check into HID instead. The beam spread is generally a large circle rather than the horizontal spread of the stocker. Importantly to me however, is this dual beam headlight eliminates the dark gaps at the roadside that the stock headlight is famous for. It's well made and easy to install, but it doesn't have a way to adjust the lights individually. I have not found this to be an issue, but it would be a nice option to be able to slightly shift one of the two reflectors towards the roadside for example. Overall I'm happy - the bike has an updated look, the brighter and improved light has made riding at night a little less stressful, and the quality of build is good.
