When purchasing my 2024 R1300GS, the dealer didn't mention that BMW switched over to lithium battery for this year's model. Right away I tended it with my old Optimate optimized for lead acid and thankfully, started reading the manual and learning about how dangerous and harmful this can be. I ran out and unplugged it asap.
Ordered this one since "Mode 4" is perfect for Can-bus with lithium. I just plugged it in, switched to the correct mode, and immediately it did a diagnostic and a battery recondition, and now I leave it attached to keep the bike in perfect order.
This thing "just works", highly recommend, especially when you may have bad weather for a while and not ride every day.

Using the DIN adapter and program 2 (CAN bus) to charge the battery in my 1250 GS couldn’t be easier. Fast shipping from Wunderlich too.

Very pleased with the Optimate 4. Works on my 1981, 2000, and 2018 BMW's. All using the accessory plug in. Just what I wanted.
