Description
Wunderlich Wheel Balance Adapter
The hub of the rear wheel rim has a diameter for which there are no standard axle attachment points for balancing. Now there is! Our balance adapter sits snugly inside the wheel hub, centers it and screws onto the flange of the rim at five points. This means the 25 mm axles of all standard balancers or balancing stands can accommodate the rear wheel safely and without clearance. We include a matching axle (Ø 25 mm, length 420 mm) with our balance adapter.

The rod is a couple of mm smaller than the bore of the plate. When you tighten the plate to the rod with the Allen screw you end up with a gap opposite the screw side between the rod and the plate. This effectively causes the wheel center to be off center with the rod. You will add weight thinking the wheel is out of balance but it's just the offset of centers. I was adding up to 2 ounces unnecessarily to my wheels and thought it strange. This is why. FIX: slide a piece of paper over the rod before you insert it into the adapter plate. Eliminated the slop and ably needed 1/4 ounce to balance my rear wheel. Maybe they fixed this already but it should not have been sold this way

Very good quality piece of equipment. Engineered well; have not changed any tires to balance as it is early spring in Ohio. Very nice design with it's own thicker diameter axle. Nice product.
