The bread box adapter allows the connection of various newer speedometers to the original speedometer plugs of various BMW models that still have the old bread box speedometer.

The adapter makes an evaluation of the input signals and outputs them on 10 pins. The excitation load for the charge controller is integrated. The neutral signal is inverted to adapt the signal for today's standard tachometers. The reserve display is integrated for models up to year of manufacture 85. At the moment the module is only running for some tachometers and speedometers. The original speedometer signal is very weak and cannot be evaluated by many speedometers. The speed signal is contaminated with a lot of noise and can cause false readings. It may therefore be that you have to install standard parts here for a direct connection to the speedometer and tachometer.
