The life insurance for the BMW K 1600 B & K1600 Grand America: The smaller contact area of the original side stand could sink the K 1600 into sand, gravel as well as just on lightly chewed up ground - a very expensive joke with the K 1600B especially.

A precisely milled widening plate that can be quickly screwed onto the side stand effectively eliminates this design flaw.

To help ensure that the side stand can be easily folded out with the heel of your boot, we've also incorporated external teeth.

Definitely gives a better foot print for the K1600 and just use some locktite on All the threaded bolts.

Received it today and installation was very easy (I have a center stand but even without one is not that hard). For the Bagger it comes with an extended rubber stop so it doesn’t hit the exhaust when you put the stand away( removing the stock one is easy. Installing the new one is easy if you have the right tool if not it could be a little tricky, not a whole lot of room there, just take your time).Here in the Southwest there is dirt, gravel everywhere and this product definitely works as advertised plus it look good too. Highly recommended. Hope this helps
