    Swingarm Pivot Cover, Edge, Left

The large cavities of the swing arm pivot should be kept protected. The original plastic cover does not last very long, especially during off road riding. This causes the holes to get covered in dirt and the pivot starts to show signs of corrosion after a while. Our covers not only protect, they also look good and the design looks well integrated with the rest of the bike. The fixing method used for this one is innovative and elegant: A special set screw pushes an "O" - ring against the inner wall of the hole and makes sure the cover cannot move. As the tolerances in this area of the frame are quite big, this is the only method that ensures a save and central fixing. Fitting the covers is very easy, and only a small Allen key is required to tighten the set screw.

The pattern on the covers is similar to the one used on other of our parts such as oil filler plugs, reservoir and Telelever covers and fits well with the overall design of the 1200 GS or Adventure. Precision machined of aluminum and anodized silver.

There is also a matching cover available for the opposite side. Please see under the Related Products.

The cover fits great, looks nice and was very easy to install.

    Well, it did fit...
None of the other covers I tried fit properly - this one actually did. However, it has a different finish from the left side swingarm cover and the telelever covers (none of which fit properly)

    Not worth the trouble
I was disappointed with the telelever covers. This cover was even worse. The fit was so poor that all I ended up doing was chipping off some of the paint on my (brand new) R1200 GS (from the pressure of the o-ring alone, not metel to metal contact). Yes, I was pissed. Even with the "small" o-ring there was no way this little bugger was going on. I gave up.
