This Wunderlich GUARD engine protection bar is engineered to offer outstanding protection while maintaining full lean angle clearance.

It reliably protects the cylinders and valve covers. The comprehensive protection concept improves passive safety and increases riding enjoyment. In the event of a fall or tip-over, the forces are optimally distributed via the bar structure to the reinforced mounting points, reducing peak loads and effectively minimising material stress.

The engine guard is made of 25 mm precision steel tubing. The pipe segments are formed using CNC bending machines and then cleanly welded. Visually, the bar integrates harmoniously into the design of the motorcycle and complements its striking appearance. It is compatible with the original BMW cylinder head guards, Option 719 ignition coil covers, and original auxiliary headlights. Our ULTIMATE engine guard is maintenance-friendly: the oil drain plug and filter cartridge remain fully accessible without needing to remove the guard.

For all our protection bars, functionality and product design go hand in hand. The guard adds high-quality refinement to your BMW. The black version is glass bead-blasted and finished with a black powder coating.

Note and our recommendation: Many bikes are designed so that – when an engine guard is fitted – the footrest and protection bar make contact at a lean angle that remains safe regarding tyre grip. However, factors such as luggage load or dips and potholes can affect lean angle clearance.
