Installed on a 2019 R1250RT
Installed the silver coated bars on my '19 1250RT. The bars are very sturdy and look great on the bike. The 5 star rating is earned for the quality of the craftmanship and looks. If I had to give any negative feedback, it would be for the lackluster quality of the instructions that came with the engine bars. This installation took me about 4.5 hours and it should have only taken me an hour or less. It would be quite helpful if the instructions included detail on exactly which bolts to remove to get the necessary body panels off the bike to gain access to the bar mounting points. Took me a while and a few errors to determine just how to accomplish this on the first side I attempted. It would also be very helpful if the instructions detailed that you will need to relocate your fog lights and mounting brackets. The fog light mounting bracket is already mounted to the same mounting point that is used for the top/front mounting point for the bars. The stock screw as well as the screw that came with the bars are both too short to mount through both the bars, the frame mounting point, and the fog light bracket. You need a bolt that is about 3mm longer and you could keep the fog lights mounted in their original position. It would help if the instructions indicated that you need to relocate the fog light brackets to the alternate mounting point on the top/front of the bars. Once I figured this out and finished the install on the left side, the right side only took me about 20-30 to finish.
