Wunderlich Rear Brake Lever Lowering Kit
This innovative brake lever lowering provides a noticeable, ergonomically effective reduction of the brake pedal by 10 millimeters, offering significant safety and ergonomic benefits. Particularly in combination with lowered footrests, it helps to prevent unwanted missteps while braking. The lowering eliminates the need to lift the foot to reach the brake pedal, effectively minimizing the risk of stepping "into thin air" – especially during sudden braking maneuvers. Furthermore, this modification supports the natural movement, allowing for intuitive and comfortable operation of the brake pedal. This is especially beneficial when footrests are already lowered.
Function and product features
- Lowering of the brake lever pedal by 10 millimeters
- Safety: Avoidance of missteps during braking, especially in critical situations! The brake lever lowering is highly recommended as a complement to footrest lowering, ensuring the foot can reach the brake pedal without needing to be raised – not only during emergency braking, but for every braking action – helping to avoid missteps or stepping "into thin air".
- Ergonomics and comfort: The brake lever lowering allows for a natural movement and intuitive operation of the brake pedal, particularly when footrests are lowered.
- Solid construction: We have designed a brake lever mount that features an eccentrically positioned mount for the brake lever's pivot axis, completely replacing the original brake lever mount.
- Due to the leverage, the eccentric mounting results in an ergonomically effective lowering of the brake pedal by 10 millimeters.
- Simple, quick installation with minimal effort
- Material: Brake lever mount, Stainless steel, aluminum
- Effective lowering: 10 mm

As others stated, it works fine if lowering the foot pegs. Installed on a 2025 BMW R1300GSA Trophy Enduro. Was more intense than the instructions would lead you to believe. Ended up taking off more trim panels, especially to tighten the new hex nut for the locking plate. Had to use a extension from the other side of the bike. Be sure to reinstall the "! washer" between the back side of the mount and brake pedal. Removing the bushing also required taking more components off as there was not enough clearance for it to come out. It was hitting the Cat converter. All told took about 2 hours. Worth the effort as now the pedal is lower.

Installed on a 2024 BMW R1300 GS Trophy with enduro package. Easy to install, results in a lower brake pedal which is much more comfortable to use and safer. Improves control!

The piece itself is a great design and accomplishes the task of lowering the pedal nicely. I have the enduro package and lowered my pegs which put the brake pedal a bit too high. This kit solves that. However , the “so called” directions leave a lot to be desired. A couple sentences actually explaining what the pictures depicted would have been helpful. It took me twice as long to install as it should have from my trial and error.
