LeverGuard-R

The ideal protection for the ParaLever final drive! This clever protection bar attaches to the bottom of the final drive housing and effectively protects the final drive and ParaLever pivot from damage, should the asphalt come closer than desired.The LeverGuard prevents damage to the aluminum housing and in extreme cases, it can even prevent leakage caused by damage to the radial seal.

The LeverGuard costs only a fraction of what repairs would add up to if this part of your bike were to be damaged. Installation is easy and it requires absolutely no changes or modifications to the motorcycle. The LeverGuard will leave no trace of ever having been installed and it can be seamlessly removed at any time. A CNC Machined clamping piece permits this easy and sturdy attachment. In contrast to other crash pads available, the LeverGuard elegantly follows the inherent lines of the ParaLever and becomes an unobtrusive and discreet accent. Form and function of the LeverGuard differ however: The part is very strong and effective at absorbing energy due to its hybrid construction of an elastic steel core and thick polymer coating. The LeverGuard provides added protection both on road and off road and even in extreme lean angles, it will not reduce cornering clearance.

The lever guard is well-made and the steel feels extremely solid. While the price seems rather extravagant and I have been left questioning whether or not it correlates with what it actually cost to produce the item, I cannot place a price on my peace of mind. It is streamline with the bike and is very subtle. In the event of a crash, I know my final drive is protected.

Similar to Insurance I prefer never to use this device!

Purchased for asthetics only! I liked the look in the brochure and a touch of black contrasted against the silver enhances the appearance of the bike! Installed on my Black n Silver R1200rt. Amazingly Simple Installation!

When you get this out of the bag, you first (may) think "I paid how much for what?" until you install it. There's a lot of thought and quality machining that went into building this. Definitely worth it.

I've installed the LeverGuard on my 2011 12GS. Very simple to install. I like the way the unit looks and feel that it should provide the protection needed in case of an accident. Each to their own, there are a couple of ways to go to protect the final drive, but I like the looks of this one. Yes, it's expensive, I guess, but so is replacing a damaged drive. It's rock solid, looks great, and is a breeze to install. Works for me.

It took me longer to think about installing this guard than it did to just install the darn thing: piece of cake. Adds that extra bit of protection, especially from rocks, sticks, logs, etc. that approach the final drive from below.

Nice piece of kit, and as the title says the installation couldn't be any easier...if it takes you more than 5 minutes to install this, you are truly "challenged"! I rated it 4 stars vice 5 due to the price...I would love to see the profit margin on this item...it couldn't cost more than $20 to manufacture. But it is nicely made...as long as it functions as intended when needed, it will be worth it.

Lever Guard installs quickly, looks good and should do well protecting the final drive. Haven't put it to the test yet luckily.
